Winner of the United Kingdom Property Awards 2018, this Grade II-listed five-storey townhouse was modernised to serve as both a city base and a private boutique hotel for our international clients. Period features were carefully restored and enhanced with new plasterwork and wall panelling, while bespoke details such as customised monogrammed bedlinen brought a sense of individuality and luxury. Dual-purpose reception rooms were created: a formal living room with a Thornhill Galleries fireplace designed for business meetings, and a rear media room with integrated AC, TV, and backlit display shelving. A dramatic double-height atrium links the lower ground to the reception level, framed by a frameless glass balustrade and a statement bronze pendant from Louise Bradley, with Tyson Art plaster wall sculptures adding depth and texture. The reinstated first-floor drawing room features ornate cornicing and an 18th-century marble fireplace, while the lower ground dining area is defined by a bespoke Matthew Wailes rug, antique mirrored wall, and elegant dining set, combining heritage with modern glamour.
