This Suffolk long house was designed as a relaxed country retreat for London-based clients, furnished in a colourful, textured palette to complement their extensive art and sculpture collection. The entrance hall, with its original brick flooring, was dressed with Colefax & Fowler fabrics, a Kelim rug, and a Rose Uniacke-style pendant, creating a warm welcome that flows into the adjoining snug and drawing room. Here, muted sage greens and red accents offset neutral Kingcome sofas, with an ottoman doubling as both a coffee table and casual seating. Cushions by Veere Grenney and De Le Cuona enhance the eclectic feel, while the clients’ antique tables and armchairs were refinished to showcase their ceramics. The study retained its original joinery but gained character with a Bo Concept sofa, olive velvet accents, and linen-effect wallpaper. In the dining room, reupholstered chairs in textured contemporary fabric refreshed the traditional setting, balancing modern artwork with heritage charm.
