This German Merchant Townhouse was transformed from its divided past into a singular vision of elegance, harmonising traditional grace with contemporary living. Respecting the original architecture, we restored decorative plaster cornices, the stone staircase, and panelling with the help of local artisans, while integrating modern lighting and heating throughout. Strategic layout changes included arched glazed panels above entrance doors and a side extension housing a practical yet elegant boot room. Design highlights feature a marble-clad chimney breast with remote-controlled fire in the formal seating area, a bespoke study/library, and a dining area with a bay-window banquette. Bespoke joinery, from the kitchen’s Belfast sink to illuminated display cabinets, reinforces the home’s unique character and exemplifies the seamless blend of old and new.
