In this riverside apartment, we designed bespoke joinery to maximise functionality while blending seamlessly into the bedroom, including a wall-to-wall built-in desk with open shelving, concealed storage, cable management, and tailored details such as a pull-out drawer for a piano keyboard and speaker shelves positioned for optimal acoustics. The bedroom reflects the client’s cool, masculine style with a palette of dark blue and warm caramel, anchored by a Tania Johnson rug whose abstract design echoes the movement of the Thames, visible through panoramic windows. In the reception, we created three distinct zones within the open-plan layout, a relaxed TV area with a B&B Italia L-shaped sofa, a formal seating arrangement, and a dining space defined by a statement ceiling light and rug, while keeping furnishings low and contemporary to preserve the views. Soft voile curtains add privacy without blocking light, guiding the eye towards the balcony and its sweeping outlook across the river, from Battersea Power Station to the Houses of Parliament.
