Townhouse, Chelsea

Located on a quiet residential street in Chelsea, this unmodernised townhouse was completely reimagined for two high-end developers, with the original façade retained and a double basement added in collaboration with architects. The ground floor was designed as an extensive entertaining space, anchored by a Chesneys fireplace and bespoke mirrored wall panels, with a dining area defined by distressed silver-leaf screens, a freestanding bar, and a study opening onto the garden. In the basement, a media and games room was brought to life with John Cullen Lighting, coffered ceilings, dado panelling, and textured hessian walls, while a bespoke brass and mirrored bar, guest suite, spa room, and seasonal dressing room complete the level. Formal dining is elevated by a bespoke table, Robert Langford chairs, and a Matthew Wailes rug beneath contemporary Haviland artwork set against antiqued mirror. Throughout, layered lighting schemes, including a Bella Figura pendant and mirrored bronze accents, enhance the townhouse’s refined yet welcoming atmosphere.
